Volunteer for the Peer Team!
Charge: The Employee Recognition Program was established in the summer of 1996 by the Quality Service Council, and charged with the development of a program that recognizes and rewards employees for outstanding contributions to the campus, and to increase morale throughout the Finance and Administrative Services Division at CSU San Marcos. Each year a new team is selected to guide the peer recognition program.

2 Managers serve as PEER Team Sponsors

4-6 Staff serve as PEER Team Members
Role of a PEER Team Member:
-
Attend all meetings and be an active participant

Read all nominations and choose top nominations

Participate in selection meeting with group members and come to consensus on category winners

Present awards during Spring Fling event

Develop a brief, 1-page report to document the process
Member Time Commitment:
-
It is a year-long commitment
-
One member is asked to serve as a roll-over member for the next year's team so that they can help facilitate the process and program

Meetings are once a month for two hours
-
The selection meeting is a three hour meeting scheduled three weeks before the Spring Fling event
- During the months surrounding the Spring Fling event, additional meetings may be needed
Tools Provided:
- VP's Office provides a binder to guide the program
- Sponsors sit on the team to add a helping hand

The VP's Office schedules all the meetings, working with the members' schedules
