Project Timeline
The Website Redesign Project will be completed in three phases:
- Phase 1: Initial Public Launch
Status: Completed on August 8, 2008.
During this phase, the new csusm.edu was unveiled to the public for the very first time. The following pages, sections, and pilot sites were included in this launch:
- University-maintained pages, including the main CSU San Marcos home page
- Office of the President
- Admissions
- University Advancement
- Instructional & Information Technology Services (IITS)
- Common Management Systems (CMS)
- Phase 2: Administrative Offices and College Websites
Status: Largely complete. Additional sites to be completed by August 31, 2009.
During this phase, all administrative offices, colleges, the School of Nursing, and Extended Learning will adopt the common header, footer, and design templates. - Phase 3: Academic Departments, Other Websites, and Special Features
Status: In progress. To be completed by January 1, 2010.
The final phase of the overall project will be completed by January 1, 2010 immediately in advance of the University's 20th anniversary celebration. Additional campus sites and pages will adopt the common header, footer, and design templates during this phase. In addition, new website features will be introduced during this phase, including: a photo gallery template, a form template, and a table creation automator.
