The Office of Research is here to support the campus community in the all aspects of research, including proposal development, compliance, and research policy and procedure management.
Institutional Review Board
The role of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) is to review all proposed research
by CSUSM faculty, students, and staff involving human subjects to ensure that subjects
(meaning research participants) are treated ethically and that their rights and welfare
are adequately protected.
Student Funding
California State University San Marcos recognized student research as an integral part of student learning. CSUSM is continually exploring new ways to provide opportunities to students and faculty to expand research opportunities and to provide resources for presenting, distributing, and disseminating student research.
