Bus Stop

The easiest way to reach the Founders Plaza from the Bus Stop is to approach the front of Craven Hall. However, instead of going directly into the front of Craven Hall, you should make an immediate left and take elevator (#5) to the fifth floor. Once you exit this elevator off of the fifth floor make an immediate right and follow the walkway all the way around the building into the Founders Plaza.

Lower Faculty/Staff Parking Lot

There are two rows of Disabled Parking Spaces in the Lower Faculty/Staff Parking Lot. As you follow the blue striped pathway to the front of the Commons/Dome you will notice an elevator (#2) to the immediate left of the two-tiered stairway. Elevator (#2) can be used to by-pass this stairway and bring you up to the Founders Plaza.

Upper Faculty/Staff Parking Lot

There is just a single row of Disabled Parking Spaces in the Upper Faculty/Staff Parking Lot. From this location, you can reach the FCB, which is immediately adjacent to the Disabled Parking Spaces by simply following the concrete accessible pathway.

The easiest way to reach the Founders Plaza from the Upper Faculty/Staff Parking Lot is to follow the accessible pathway, located to the right of the FCB, to just past the restrooms. At this point, make a left then a right onto the asphalt road. The asphalt road will go up a slight hill, make a left at the top and you should be able to clearly see the Science Hall and Academic Hall. The asphalt pathway will quickly turn into concrete and at the bottom of this incline you will be at the Founders Plaza.

Founders Plaza

The Founders Plaza is a good central location on campus to determine the best accessible route to reach the existing onsite buildings at CSU, San Marcos. From the Founders Plaza, you can enter into Craven Hall (5th Floor), Science Hall (2nd Floor), Academic Hall (2nd Floor) and the FCB from an accessible entrance.

There are several ways to access the University Hall from the Founders Plaza utilizing elevators in Craven Hall and Academic Hall. Elevator (#5) in Craven Hall is open 24 hours a day and is very reliable. This elevator can be used to reach the accessible pathway leading to the University Hall from the 4th floor and 3rd floor of Craven Hall. Elevator (#1) in the Academic Hall can be used to access the accessible pathway leading into the University Hall from the 1st floor. Elevator (#5) in Craven Hall will take you to the Library, exit on the 3rd floor, then go to your right.
