Research and Sponsored Projects Web
The Office of Graduate Studies and Research supports the campus' values of
intellectual engagement, integrity, and innovation by promoting faculty
research, scholarly, and creative activities. The office develops and
administers policies and procedures designed to support the research goals of
the campus. In the area of sponsored projects, the office is responsible for
helping faculty and staff seek external support for their scholarly activities.
Working closely with the CSUSM Foundation, the Associate Vice President for
Research ensures that all agency guidelines and university policies are followed
in the process of submitting proposals for grants and contracts.
Other functions of the Office of Graduate Studies and
Research include the following:

Overseeing the University's centers and institutes

Administering the University's internal grants in
support of faculty scholarly and creative projects

Ensuring compliance and overseeing
the standing committees on research with human participants and with animals

Coordinating
the annual student research competition

Overseeing
the University's graduate studies programs
