PAST 2013 Events

• Lunch & Learn: It's Not Easy Being Green - A Behavioral Perspective on Climate Change (& Other Environmental Issues) with Wes Schultz (Feb 26, 2013)
• Hot Chocolate Social (& Cider) Over 150 staff members warmed up with a hot cup and enjoyed socializing with fellow staff members on Wednesday, January 9, 2013.
• Common Read Book Drawing 10 lucky staff members won the opportunity drawing for the "Silent Spring" book.

PAST 2012 Events

• Spring Happy Hour at Players was a blast. We filled up the place on January 11, 2012.
• Brighten Your Outlook was a fun Outlook training event with Candie Halstead on Tuesday, March 6, 2012.
• Break Out the Donuts had 20 dozen donuts enjoyed & staff a bit more relaxed on Wednesday, March 21, 2012.
• President's Staff Forum had questions asked and answered by President Haynes on Monday, April 9, 2012.
• Chuck One! Fun was had at Disc Golf, even though it was rather soggy on Thurs, April 26, 2012.
• Spring Craft Fair Staff and Faculty Crafters brought their items to campus and everyone came to see the wares on Mon, May 7, 2012.
• End of Semester Happy Hour Staff got together at Player's and relaxed at the end of the semester on Wed, May 23, 2012.
• Annual Ice Cream Social was a blast with tons of ice cream eaten & pictures taken on Wednesday, August 15 (Take a look at the Pictures!).
• President's Staff Forum had the staff questions asked and answered in MARK 101 on Thursday, October 25, 2012.
• Extended Learning Halloween Bash had a Star Wars Theme this year on Wednesday, October 31, 2012.
• Fall 2012 Happy Hour we broke out the happy at Prime Cut Grill with some yummy appetizers on Wednesday, November 7, 2012.
• Lunch & Learn: Sustain and Recycle was presented by Ed and Carl who went over some fascinating things about recycling and the program we have on campus on Wednesday, November 15, 2012.
• Craft Fair had CSUSM Employees' Creations up for sale and holiday gifts on Monday, December 11, 2012.

PAST 2011 Events

• Staff Development: Talk & Lunch Grassroots Grammar. Jule Gomez de Garcia did a beautiful job of talking about all the work of reviving a Mayan language with some of the last people who speak it on Feb 24, 2011.
• Lunchtime Fitness. Staff worked it on March 16, 2011 on Mangrum Track.
• Break Out the Donuts had 18 dozen donuts go a lot quicker than expected. We all enjoyed the sweet & coffee on March 23, 2011.
• Just Laugh had staff members joining together for some fun, humor, & healing on March 24, 2011.
• Disc Golf 102 with Campus Rec was a blast. We got some exercise & had some fun on our very own Disc Golf Course on April 8, 2011.
• President's Staff Forum brought Staff & President Haynes together to get some questions asked and answered on April 19, 2011.
• CSUSM Spring Craft Fair brought some truly crafy and creative items to campus on May 3, 2011.
• Staff Happy Hour got staff together on May 25, 2011 to share appetizers and stories of the academic year (Check out the pictures).
• The Annual Ice Cream Social was a blast of sweet treats & time to talk because that's what summer is for on August 10, 2011.
• President's Staff Forum brought Staff & President Haynes together to get some questions asked and answered on October 20, 2011.
• Campus Art Walk got staff moving and enjoying the art on campus on October 25, 2011 (Check out the pictures)
• Halloween Open House with Extended Learning was a blast of under the C SUSM fun on October 29, 2011.
• Exploring Ethics Common Read Event brought Staff together to listen to Author Rebecca Skloot talk about her book on November 2, 2011.
• Staff Craft Fair went great, they even got some new crafters, on December 5, 2011.

Past 2010 Events

• The Ice Cream Social had a Polynesian theme & a sweet treat for everyone on August 11th, 2010
• Disc Golf 101 brought professional and beginner golfers out to the course for a good time on October 13th, 2010 (Check out the pictures)
• Extended Learning Halloween Open House was a blast from the Wizard of Oz on Oct 29, 2010 from 10am-3pm.
• Staff Development Talk & Lunch: Finding Your Mind with Jennifer Jeffries was all about balancing mind, body, and spirit - along with lunch on Thursday, Nov 18, 2010 from 12-1pm (Check out the pictures)
• Lunchtime Workout & Fitness Orientation We worked out & skipped on the lawn on Dec 1, 2010.
• At the Annual CSUSM Craft Fair the artists of CSUSM sold their wonderful wares with success on Dec 6, 2010.
