Apr 23 - May 4

Priority registration period in MyCSUSM for eligible students.  All holds must be cleared before your registration appointment for spring classes.
May 5 - Aug 26

Fall 2012 schedule adjustment period (from 12:01 AM on May 5 through 11:59 PM on Aug 26) on MyCSUSM. You may add and drop classes on MyCSUSM.

 Memorial Day - Campus Closed
Jun 1

 Application for undergraduate graduation for Spring/Summer 2013 opens (closes September 15, 2012). $15 late fee in effect beginning Sept 16.

 Registration begins for post baccalaureate and returning undergraduate Fall 2012 admits

Independence Day - Campus Closed 
Jul 18 (prior to 4:30 pm)

For classes reserved from April 23, 2012 through July 16, 2012, payments are due, prior to 4:30 pm, on July 18, 2012.
Aug 8 (prior to 4:30 pm)

For classes reserved from July 17, 2012 through August 6, 2012 payment is due, prior to 4:30 pm, on August 8, 2012.
Aug 27 (prior to 4:30 pm)

For classes reserved from August 7, 2012 through August 24, 2012** payment is due, prior to 4:30pm, on August 27, 2012

** Please note beginning Saturday, August 25 - For classes reserved from August 25 , 2012 through Census payment is due, prior to 4:30pm, the following business day

 Open University. (Over 60 Program, cross, concurrent, and visitor enrollment – tentative. Decision to be made prior to beginning of fall 2012 term in August)

 Last day to drop classes with no academic record for classes that meet the first 8-week session of the term. Withdrawals after Sep 4 for classes that meet the first 8-week session of the term may be granted by petition for serious reasons only.
Sep 4 Last day to change grading option for classes that meet the first 8-week session of the term.

Sep 10

 Last day to add Fall 2012 classes. (Includes classes that meet full term, first 8-week session of the term, and second 8-week session of the term.)

Last day to change from full-time to part-time status.
Sep 10 Last day to withdraw from class(es) with no academic record for full session courses of the fall term.

Withdrawals done in MyCSUSM Sep 11-24 will be charged with a "W" to the student's academic record.

Last day of classes that meet the first 8-week session of the semester.

First day of class for fall 2012 classes that meet the second 8-week session of the term.
Oct 26 Last day to drop classes with no academic record for a fall class that meets the second 8-week session of the term. Withdrawals after Oct 26 for classes that meet the second 8-week session of the term may be granted for serious reasons only.

Nov 22 - 25 Thanksgiving Holiday/weekend - Campus closed Thursday through Sunday.
Dec 8 Last day of classes that meet the full session of the term; last day of classes that meet the Second 8-week session of the term.
Dec 10 - 15 FINAL EXAM PERIOD
Dec 20 Grades due from instructors; last day of Fall semester.

Dec 24 - Jan 1

Campus closed – Winter break. Reopens on Tuesday, January 3, 2012.
