Fees and Charges
Spring 2013
Important: Proposition 30 News Release
The Proposition 30 ballot initiative was approved by voters in the November 6, 2012 election. As a result, the California State University will implement the tuition fee contingency plan as previously approved by the Board of Trustees. The California State University will roll back tuition fees to 2011-12 fee levels; retroactive to the fall 2012 term. The fees listed below reflect the 2011-2012 tuition fee levels that are also effective for Spring 2013.
Payment Deadlines
The CSU makes every effort to keep student costs to a minimum. Fees listed in published schedules or student accounts may need to be increased when public funding is inadequate. Therefore, CSU must reserve the right, even after initial fee payments are made, to increase or modify any listed fees, without notice, until the date when instruction for a particular semester or quarter has begun. All CSU listed fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by The Board of Trustees.
- For classes reserved from December 15, 2012 through January 15, 2013 the payment is due, prior to 4:30pm,on January 16, 2013.
- For classes reserved from January 16, 2013 through January 21, 2013 the payment is due, prior to 4:30pm, on January 22, 2012.
- For classes reserved on or after January 22, 2013 the payment is due, prior to 4:30pm, the following business day.
Due to the high volume of calls during payment deadlines it is quicker and more efficient for you to check your account online rather than calling. It is the student's responsibility to be aware of total fees due and deadlines.
All mandatory tuition and registration fees must be paid or all your classes may be dropped (even if a partial payment has been made) unless you have a fee deferment on your account. Only the student dropping all their classes, online, prior to the first day of the term, will guarantee non-enrollment. In order not to incur a debt to the university a student must drop all courses, online, prior to the first day of the term which is January 22, 2013.
If a student adds classes above 6.0 units full time fees are applicable and due meeting the above deadlines.
Please Note: The fee structure and drop/refund policies associated with Extended Learning (EL) may have a different fee structure and drop/refund policy.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR FEES
PAYMENT BY THE STATED DEADLINES.
** NO BILLING STATEMENT WILL BE MAILED **
