Summer 2009

Apr 13 – 24 Priority registration period for Summer 2009 in MyCSUSM for eligible students.  All holds must be cleared before your enrollment appointment for summer classes.
Apr 25 – My 29 Summer 2009 schedule adjustment period (from 12:01 a.m. on Apr 25 through 11:59 p.m. on May 29) in MyCSUSM.   You may drop add and drop classes in MyCSUSM.
May 21 Payment deadline for classes reserved through May 20.  See payment schedule in the “Money Matters” section.  Starting at 12:01 am on May 21, summer 2009 fees are due in full the next business day by noon.
May 21 International and non-resident students only: Payment deadline for state and campus-based fees for classes reserved through May 20.
May 30 International and non-resident students only: Payment deadline for non-resident tuition.
May 30 First day of summer 2009 classes that meet the full session of the term, and those that meet the first session of the term.
May 30 - Jun 8 Add/drop period for summer 2009 during regular business hours; adds (with instructor’s signature) can be done in Cougar Central.  Drops can be done on MyCSUSM from 12:01 a.m. on May 30 through 11:59 p.m. on Jun 8.  Drops can also be done in Cougar Central during regular business hours.
May 30 – Jun 8 Open University, over 60, cross, concurrent, and visitor enrollment. 
Jun 4 Last day to drop classes with no academic record for classes that meet the summer first session.  Withdrawals after June 4 for classes that meet the first session of the term may be granted for serious reasons only and require the College Dean’s signature. 
Jun  8 Last day to add Summer 2009 classes.  (Includes classes that meet full session, first session, and second session of the term).
Jun  8 Last day to change from full-time to part-time status.
Jun  8 Last day to drop classes with no academic record for full session of the summer term.  Withdrawals after Jun 8 for full session classes may be granted for serious reasons only and require the College Dean’s signature. 
Jun  8 Last day to change grading option for classes that meet the full term.
Jun 9 $25 Late Registration and $15 Late Add Fee in effect for all sessions of the term.
Jul 3 Independence Day observed - campus closed.
Jul 7 Last day of classes that meet the session of the term. 
Jul 8 First day of class for summer 2009 classes that meet the second session of the term.
Jul 14 Last day to drop classes with no academic record for a summer class that meets the second session of the term.  Withdrawals after July 14 for classes that meet the second session of the term may be granted for serious reasons only and require the College Dean’s signature. 
Jul 14 Last day to change grading option for classes that meet the second session of the term.  
Aug 15 Last day of classes that meet the full term; last day of classes that meet the second session of the term.
Aug 20 Grades due from instructors (by 3:00 pm).
Aug 28 Official grades available in MyCSUSM.
