Faculty Awards - Brakebill and Wang

The Academic Senate Office oversees the nomination processes for two very distinguished and prestigious faculty award opportunities:  The Harry E. Brakebill Distinguished Professor Award, and The Wang Family Excellence Award.  Campus selection processes for the two awards are facilitated by the Faculty Awards Selection Committee each year, with decisions for CSUSM selection finalized by the campus' President. (While the Brakebill Award is a CSUSM award, our campus may forward up to four campus nominations for consideration in the statewide Wang Award selection process each year.)

If you know an outstanding faculty member who is a campus superstar, please consider nominating them for one of these honors during the nomination period in Spring 2018.  Nominations originate with a letter of nomination sent to the Academic Senate Office via campus mail, regular mail, or by attaching to an email and sending to the Academic Senate Office.  More detailed information is found on the fliers, below, and within the campus policy that governs the award process for each (linked below).
