Influenza Vaccine


Flu vaccines will be available on October 15, 2007. Students, Faculty and Staff are encouraged to get vaccinated. People who are categorized as high risk should be vaccinated this season.

Categorization for high risk includes:

  • Persons aged 2–64 years with underlying chronic medical conditions (such as asthma, lung or heart disease, including diabetes, kidney disease, blood disorders [such as sickle cell anemia], or weakened immune systems, including persons with HIV/AIDS);
  • Adults aged 65 years and older;
  • Health-care workers involved in direct patient care; and
  • Out-of-home caregivers and household contacts of children aged <6 months.

It is not recommended that women who are currently pregnant receive the flu vaccine this season.

Vaccinations are available during our walk in clinics. The vaccine is $15 for students and $20 for faculty/staff. If you are unable to stop by during our walk in clinic, please call us to make an appointment.
