Psychiatry services are available to all regularly
matriculated students at Cal State San Marcos. Our mission in
providing this service to our students is to ensure that
students receive initial evaluations or follow up care for the
management of their mental health; and also, serving as a
referral source for Counseling and Disabled Student Services.
Our psychiatrist
is Dr. Ghazala Rehan.
She
did her internship at
Cedars-Sinai
Medical
Center in
Los Angeles, followed by
residency in Psychiatry at
University of
California,
San Diego.
In
San Diego, she has worked at UCSD
hospital,
St. Vincent de Paul Community Village,
and Douglas Young Clinic. She is board certified in Psychiatry and
is an adjunct faculty at UCSD and VA Medical Center in
La Jolla.
Dr. Rehan is available by appointment on Tuesday, Wednesday and
Fridays @
9:30 am -2:30 PM. Psychiatry
visits are at low cost for students.
