Looking for a place to live Off-Campus?
CSU San Marcos is proud to offer on campus housing to Cal State students, faculty and staff. We also list and accept ads for a variety of living alternatives from the private sector. These listings include rooms in private homes, apartments, condominiums, and roommate situations. We also provide website links and information on related services, roommate tips and tenant rights. Review the menu options on the left to learn more about our Off-Campus Housing Services.
Please Note: In August 2008, a new rooming house ordinance went into effect in the City of San Marcos. This may affect you if you are renting a home in San Marcos. Please be aware that the City of San Marcos limits the number of leases that can be held on a single family home property. Homes can only have fewer than five leases or rental agreements. Otherwise, the home is considered a commercial endeavor, which is prohibited. The City has a section on its Website about the new ordinance. Please take a moment and visit http://www.san-marcos.net/index.aspx?page=441 to familiarize yourself with the information. Also please visit the Good Neighbor Guidelines for valuable information.
