Orientation and New Student Programs

Welcome to CSUSM!

The Orientation & New Student Programs office strives to assist all new CSUSM students in the transition to our campus community. The process starts upon admission and at Orientation and continues through your entire first year at CSUSM. We want you to feel a part of our community!

If you were a new student this past Fall, we encourage you to stop by our office! We are here to help you to navigate the campus, get you involved, and refer you to the correct department with any question that you may have. If you don't know where else to start - come to us!

We also offer a number of programs to assist new students transition to our campus and help them to be successful during the first year. Check out the "New Student Programs" link to the left to check-out what we have to offer!

Important Information for Fall 2010 Applicants

If you have been provisionally admitted to CSUSM for Fall 2010, you must attend an Orientation. Orientation is an important step in the transition to the university and we look forward to meeting you this summer. You must attend Orientation in order to reserve Fall 2010 courses. Orientation is offered June through August and reservations will open late Spring 2010 in my.csusm.edu.

Communication regarding reservations will be sent via both mail and email! All sessions fill on a first come, first serve basis. Continue to check back to this website for updates regarding important Orientation information for Fall 2010 admits! In the meantime, review our online brochure for more helpful information!
