
The Peer Mentoring Program offered through the Office of Student Life and Leadership (specifically Multicultural Programs and Orientation & New Student Programs) assists first year students from traditionally underserved and underrepresented backgrounds succeed during their first semester at CSUSM and beyond by connecting them with peers, faculty/staff, and campus resources.
Current students are selected to be Peer Mentors and paired with incoming students to help with the transition to college life. Mentors share their experiences at CSUSM with their mentees as well as help them get involved on campus, meet people, remind them of deadlines, and get aqcuainted with the campus. They are a friendly face and point of contact during the first year.
Applications to be a mentor for 2013-2014 are now closed.
