The following community agencies will be the beneficiaries of this year's service:

The First Annual Day of Service coincides with San Marcos Mayor Jim Desmond’s Proclamation of a Service Learning Day in San Marcos and President Obama’s 81 Days of Service (www.service.gov) which concludes on Friday, September 11th. Since September 11th has become a national day of remembrance, we hope to leverage the emotional energy of the day into active service that further strengthens our community. In today’s challenging times, we believe it is important for us to begin this campus tradition.
