I joined the Sociology Program in the Fall of 1996. Prior to coming to CSUSM, I served as a methodologist and statistician for public health and public policy research at various public and private agencies including UC San Francisco, the San Francisco Department of Public Health, and  Stanford University.  I am a health sociologist with a focus on issues surrounding social class, sexuality, and substance use.  My research focuses on sexual orientation and social class.
