Poster for A Midsummer Night's Dream play at CSUSM in April 2017

Poster for the play Home at CSUSM Spring of 2017

Home imagines a university classroom where the class is taught by the students, a live DJ and a very engaged audience. The social justice issue of homelessness is the focal point of the day’s lecture, and the classroom/performance community mobilizes as they explore what they value most about home.

Students Perform for Standing-Room-Only Crowd

Theater students being applauded

CSUSM students Diego Lecca, Marta Martin-Burgos, and Claudia Rivera performed a scene from Lope de Vega's 17th century play, "San Diego de Alcala," to a standing-room-only crowd as part of a ceremony at the House of Spain in San Diego.  Numerous regional dignitaries were in attendance, and the students did a great job with a difficult text.  Thanks to Prof. Marcos Martinez (Theatre) for his help preparing students for this performance.
