Ms. Nuttall is responsible for providing tutorial support to the TRiO/SSS students, including English, English as a Second Language and writing. Although an educator for many years, Ms Nuttall has re-trained through professional tutor training associations. In so doing she has updated her knowledge and expertise thus ensuring that she is equipped to give the best possible service to her tutees. Ms. Nuttall is also responsible for administrative support to the TRiO SSS team.
Ms. Nuttall has been an educator in the United Kingdom and San Diego, C A., and her students have ranged from elementary to adult. As a prison educator in the UK she had the opportunity to gain experience working with diverse students. In that environment she wrote programs of learning for the male and female inmates. The result of those projects was that the student inmates received certificates of recognition for their hard work, thereby raising their self-esteem.
Ms. Nuttall believes passionately that all students should be recognized for their successes.
