STEM scholarships available for veterans and active military personnel

In the College of Science and Mathematics, we believe you need to do science as well as study it. That’s why we’re looking for veterans and active duty service members who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty! As a science or math major, you can transform your technical training and life experiences into a meaningful career in science and technology.

We also understand that college can be expensive, particularly if you have a family or other commitments. To help, we’ve set aside a limited number of $1000.00 scholarships to offset the costs of things like textbooks, parking permits, and other miscellaneous expenses that your GI Benefits might not cover. To apply for a scholarship, complete the form below.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Honorably discharged veteran or active service member of the U.S. military
  • Enrolled as a major in a science, technology, or math discipline
  • Academically successful (GPA 3.0 or higher preferred)

Please note: The application period for current CSUSM students is now closed. Applications will be accepted for incoming CSUSM students (anticipated enrollment should be Spring 2013 or later) and Palomar students.
