CSUSM
is very pleased and excited to move ahead with plans for a
satellite campus site in Temecula. We are committed to the
region and our collaboration with the City of Temecula is sure
to provide a quality four-year education to the region’s
residents. The first part of the University’s plans, beginning
fall 2008, are to provide classes through our office of Extended
Learning. Unfortunately, due to significant budget constraints,
courses previously offered locally by the Colleges of Arts and
Sciences and Education will only be offered on the San Marcos
campus.

Cal State San
Marcos
CSUSM South West Riverside County (SWRC) is
an off-campus instructional facility offering
area residents convenient access to the
upper-division course offerings of California
State University San Marcos. Currently SWRC, in
collaboration with Mt. San Jacinto College and
the Temecula Unified School District, offers an
easy local transition for completing the
majority of requirements for the Liberal Studies
major for future teachers. We are also a
convenient location for taking upper-division GE
requirements for all CSUSM students. For those
who have completed the Bachelor's degree, we
offer graduate degrees and credentials in
Education. Currently offered in Temecula are
full-time and part-time programs for the
multiple subject teaching credential, as well as
two of the pre-requisites for any CSUSM
credential program. Future plans include the
offering of additional academic courses and
degrees, Continuing Education activities, and
other CSUSM activities in Southwest Riverside.
