This is
where we live...Virtually!
I've lived in California since 1947. However, I was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Shortly thereafter my parents wrapped up their little bundle of joy, and moved to Lemon Grove, California. After a brief stint in the Marine Corps, I attended Grossmont Community College. I then moved to North Dakota. Then, "back in the Corps again...The Peace Corps, where we served in the Kingdom of Tonga. After finishing the tour of duty, my wife and I moved to South Dakota near the small town of Aberdeen. Finally, after eons and eons of snow, cold, and road-building (the 5th. Season in the Midwest) we accepted a contract with USAID serving in the Republic of Tanzania. After traveling half way around the world in both directions, we finally made it back to sunny Southern California. Now, the rest of the story!
Currently I am employed by CSU San Marcos. As the Campus Vehicle Inspector, my responsibilities include supervising the maintenance, operational safety, and dispatching of all campus vehicles. Also, I am responsible for the landscaping and plumbing maintenance projects undertaken at the university. Hopefully, success in acquiring a graduate degree will afford me the opportunity for advancement into a management position within the same job families. My college education began in 1970 after my discharge from the military service. I first attended Grossmont College where I majored in history and political science. After completing two years at Grossmont College, I transferred to Jamestown College where I furthered my studies in history. I received my undergraduate history degree from CSU San Marcos in the Spring of 1993. During the interim between 1993 and 1995 I enrolled in several business classes at the University. During this period, I followed the development of the proposed Master of Business Administration Program very closely. When CSU San Marcos announced the acceptance of applications, I applied under the Government Administration Option. For more information on the Program offered at CSU San Marcos, see the Master of Business Administration overview. Upon successful completion of the program I intend on pursuing a career in government service within the CSU or University of California system.
