Licensing & Trademark Information
on the CSUSM campus, Follett, our University Store/bookstore partners, has the exclusive right to use the University logo and logotype. They also have the exclusive right for all resale items, both emblamatic and non-emblematic. The Unviersity grants Follett the right to use the University logo and Follett has first right of refusal to provide servcies for retail items to the University.
To place an order for items using the University logo, contact Derek Dioses (link to email), Store Manager at (760) 750-4731.
Should Follett not wish to fulfill the order, another vendor may be selected. Manufactuers, vendors and all outside entities must secure a license agreement prior to use. The licensing process and art approval must be completed before any products can be created, or any trademarks used for promotions and advertising.
What is a Trademark?
All names and visual representations of CSUSM are considered its "trademarks." This includes all word marks, service marks, names, name variants, nicknames, logotypes, logos, insignia, shields, seals, designs, devices, or symbols that reer to CSUSM. Also included are any words, phrases or images that imply association with the University.
