Sodexo Selected as Food Service Provider

California State University at San Marcos has selected Sodexo to provide food service across the campus.  The decision was made following a competitive process where a committee comprised of CSUSM students, faculty and staff recommended that Sodexo be awarded the contract.

Sodexo began food service operation at the campus on August 20, 2012. The campus community can look forward to many exciting changes beginning in the fall 2012 term.  Sodexo will be managing the Big Cat Bistro, Big Cat Market, Starbucks at CSUSM, catering, and conference meals on campus.  The weekly menu offerings will be posted on Sodexo’s website customized for CSUSM, which will be linked to the main campus webpage.  In addition to menus, the site will provide nutritional information, tips and resources to enable employees and students to craft balanced diets for themselves.

Sodexo, Inc. is a food and facilities management services company that operates in the United States, Mexico and Canada. Of their client base, Sodexo serves more than 900 educational clients, as well as multiple hospitals, conference centers, government agencies and military bases. Representatives have been on campus working with the dining management and employees, as well as various CSUSM departments, to ensure a smooth transition.
