This is a concept used when the several Finance and Administrative Services' departments moved from an off-campus location, back to campus in 2004. You may use the ideas below to prepare for your upcoming move. MEETING FREE FRIDAY (MFF): A DAY TO CATCH UP
DEFINITION Pick a Friday to designate as “Meeting Free Friday: A Day to Catch Up”. Departments may use this day, or part of the day, to engage in organizational activities or catch up on work that is difficult to complete during a normal work week schedule. A theme may be given to each MFF which will involve an essential activity for those departments that will be moving.
GUIDELINES
Suggested theme: Archive and Organize! Goal: to clean out, organize, and archive paper files To be provided in advance to participating departments: o Archiving information from Jim Carr o Information on creating an organized filing system o Electronic templates for tracking archived box contents o Extra recycling bins
