How it worksFree peer tutoring, one-on-one and in small groups. You do not need to be taking a CSUSM class to receive tutoring. No appointment neded! Drop by anytime.

Who: Our trained tutors took most of the classes they tutor - and they love the subject - so they know how to help you get the skills and knowledge you are looking for. Please come with prepared questions and attempted work.

Other Tutoring on Campus!

  • Writing and Academic English
    • The Writing Center provides peer consultations for any writing assigment in any class.
    • Popular classes are GEW 101, HIST 131, PHIL 110, BUS 203 and GEL 101.
    • Academic English development is supported.
    • Business Writing and Science Writing are also supported.

  • Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math
    • The STEM Success Center tutors a wide array of Science and Math classes, including upper-divsion classes.
    • They put the "M" back in STEM by merging with the fomer Math Lab to also support lower-divison Math classes that fulfill the B4 General Education requirement !
  • Psychology and Social Sciences
    • The Psychology and Academic Resource Library (PARL) provides academic support for enhancing quantitative, computing, writing, biological, and research methodology skills for psychology and social sciences. This includes support with SPSS!
    • PARL offers a variety of specialized computer programs and tutorials on statistics, research methods, psychometrics, and the biological bases of behavior.
    • PARL provides related academic consultations, workshops, symposia, and videos.

  • Accounting
    • The Acccounting Lab hosted by the CSUSM Accounting Society offers tutoring in ACCT 201, 202, 301, and others.
