Sociology Student Helping Others Through Internship
Sociology student Kara Nazaroff has been an intern this semester for the Sisu Academy, a tuition-free all-girls school serving young San Diego County women in need.
A last-minute trip to a CSUSM internship fair helped change the life of second-year business student Hagen Javier. What he discovered there was SOLE Effects, a nonprofit dedicated to providing mentors for youth. (10/2018)

"Two of our employees are CSUSM graduates, one intern was hired at the completion of her internship. Our other young lady did request an internship in 2015 but we were not able to accommodate her at that time; still, we hired her this Jan. because she never gave up! Our current intern is such a sponge and absorbing everything there is to learn about family-based immigration, the INA, and interview techniques. We are proud partners of CSUSM!"

"On behalf of the Board of Directors at the Fallbrook Food Pantry I want to thank you for the excellent internship experience we are having with Enrique. We provided Enrique with a monthly stipend and he has been doing a wonderful job. The Food for Thought Program is running very smoothly under his leadership."

"With graduation on the horizon, Carlos came to us looking for an opportunity to combine his interest in the community, concern for others, coursework in Human Development and desire to continue his education with a Masters in the areas of school psychology or social work. ... By meeting with various professionals in the district, he is gaining additional knowledge and experience that will help him prepare for a bright, rewarding future. Carlos has been an absolute delight to work with and he has been an amazing intern!"
