Christina Marquez's Bio

My role at Cal State San Marcos

Currently I am majoring in Criminology & Justice Studies, a member in the TRIO SSS program and a Student Assistant at the Career Center. Working in the Career Center I am responsible to assist students, alumni, employers and community members with their basic Career Center needs.

My career path

Although it is frustrating, I have no idea what my career path looks like! Working at the Career Center has definitely gave me a sense of security in knowing I am not facing these indecisive decisions alone and rather than looking at this as a disadvantage and making myself go crazy, I am using the Career Center services to explore my career path options. I know everything will eventually fall into place with time as long as I continue to explore my options and work towards my goals.

The rewards in doing what I do

Being able to work with students and alumni in accomplishing their career goals is the most rewarding part about my job! I love seeing our services being taking advantage of to help prepare our cougars.

When I get some time away from my studies I enjoy going to the gym, the beach and watching Netflix for an extremely long period of time.
