My role at CSU San Marcos
As the Director of the Career Center, I manage all the administrative aspects of running the Career Center, but my favorite part of the position is still being able to work with students and alumni. I also love teaching undecided first-year students in GEL 101.
My career path
I received my Master of Arts in Education (Counseling) and Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies with a minor in Japanese, both from San Diego State University. I’ve also enjoyed taking classes at Cal State San Marcos. After working in a variety of industries, including bank operations and teaching English in Japan, I started working for the CSU as a student assistant, then an administrative assistant, career counselor, and now Director of the Career Center.
The rewards in doing what I do
My passion is helping clients discover and pursue their dreams! I love it when students or alumni stay in touch and let me know about their successes.
My words of wisdom to students
Don’t settle; study what you want to learn and pursue a career that provides deep satisfaction. Let’s make the world a better place!
In my free time
I read a lot of fiction, work out with Zumba and yoga, and enjoy cooking for family and friends.
