Welcome to the College of Education, Health and Human Services (CEHHS). Our mission and vision are rooted in a culture of care, a dedication to discovery of new knowledge, and the promotion of health and wellness. These key elements are all buoyed by a purposeful framework to embrace diversity, inclusion, and educational equity to promote student success.
Our college is comprised of three schools: The School of Education, the School of Nursing which also houses the program of Public Health, and the School of Health Sciences and Human Services with departments of Human Development, Kinesiology, Social Work, and Speech-Language Pathology. Our programs offer a range of degrees including Bachelor’s, Master’s, and an Education Doctorate, as well as Teaching Credentials. When students graduate, they are prepared to pursue advanced degrees in professional practice and academia, to work in health and clinic settings throughout our local community and beyond, and to work with K-12 education institutions supporting future generations of students. We are proud that our students have numerous opportunities to work with community partners as part of their curriculum which provides active, hands-on learning experiences that support student learning and simultaneously bolster services needed in our community.
Our faculty members are actively engaged in research and scholarship where they generate new knowledge in their discipline which then allows them to incorporate this current knowledge into their classroom experiences for their students. Our Student Services office is a hub for wrap-around student support where students interact with expert staff whose discipline-specific knowledge greatly enhances the student experience.
Please explore our website and feel free to reach out directly to our Dean’s office, and to the program faculty or staff; we are here to support your efforts toward a successful educational experience that we hope will be meaningful, memorable, impactful, and sustaining. We look forward to having you as active alumni members of our college in the near future!
