ViaSat Speed Interviewing

ViaSat, an international communications company, is hosting speed interviewing for students. This event is aimed at providing our young professionals with tools to answer career questions and learn how a CSUSM degree will launch our students towards their careers.

Soft Skills Workshop: Land that Job!

This will be an exciting workshop aimed at developing interview and interpersonal communication skills. There will be emphasis on developing self-promotion and negotiation skills as they relate to the job search and interview process.

Roundtable discussion and Q&A about how careers commence and evolve as planned or, as is often the case, by happenstance. Hear how five mentors in different professions identified their initial career path during or after college, and career decisions they have faced in the years following graduation.

Our 2013-14 noontime employer panel series featured talks about participants’ career paths, followed by a Q&A session. Students who signed up early were treated to a free lunch with the panelists—a great opportunity for networking and, in some cases, a chance to hear from human resources professionals about their expectations of applicants.
