Project Proposals

California State University San Marcos will celebrate its sixth annual César Chávez Day of Service on Saturday, March 23, 2019. While César Chávez’s birthday is observed on Monday, April 1st, CSUSM is on spring break that week.

Therefore, we will honor Chávez’s legacy the week before with a day of community service and an opportunity to reflect on Chávez’s contributions to American society. We are seeking to directly serve and support your community organization between 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.

Do you have a need or project at your organization that would benefit from having 15 or more student volunteers at your site? If so, please consider submitting a project proposal below.

All proposals must be submitted by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.

The César Chávez Day of Service Planning Committee will review proposals and confirm selections by February 1st. If your project is selected, we will coordinate with your organization regarding logistics for the day, including any necessities.

We hope you will join us in honoring César Chávez’s legacy on Saturday, March 23, 2019.
