CoBA Community Highlights

Austin Harness

CoBA sat down with CSUSM student Austin Harness to talk briefly about his time in the military and how his experiences during that time shaped his career path. While serving as a Marine, Austin's leadership abilities blossomed as he was placed in an environment where hard work and a disciplined work ethic were a normal day to day expectation. Through his time in the military he found that moving from rank to rank based on the pace set by his higher ups was limiting. This influenced his interest in finding a way to gain the freedom to move forward at his own pace. Today Austin manages education and applying said knowledge to his constantly advancing business ventures. One venture in particular, Take Home Fitness, he designed to bring health and fitness oriented individuals in touch with professional trainers. These trainers focus on educating consumers on how to achieve their fitness goals in a realistic and effective fashion. Although he is onto his next business venture that is set to release sometime next year, Austin always looks for new opportunities to apply his classroom knowledge to find solutions to flaws that are present in an array of products that have been voiced by consumers, thus creating a new opportunities for his entrepreneurial goals. CSUSM has provided a place for him to increase his understanding of an array of different subjects in the business world while he also pursues his ventures. CoBA is proud to serve Austin in his pursuit for knowledge, and is excited to see what new ventures await.
