CoBA Community Highlights

Kristin Stewart, Ph.D.

CoBA recently welcomed new faculty member Kristin Stewart to our Marketing Department. Dr. Stewart earned her Ph.D from the University of Texas at Austin. Passionate about marketing, Dr. Stewart makes it her goal to inspire her marketing students and give them the knowledge they need to advance in their career paths. She does extensive research to answer questions about topics related to advertising. Dr. Stewart is currently working on a project called "Moving On Up," which examines how consumers associate sound with the ascension of images that are presented with ads. She presented this research at the Celebration of Faculty Scholarship and Creative Activities on November 10, 2015. Between all of the research and teaching that goes on, when Dr. Stewart gets downtime she enjoys playing the guitar and expressing herself through singing and song writing. When asked about her experiences at CSUSM, she expressed her great love for her students and other members of CoBA's faculty and enjoys working on a campus where she is given the support she needs to meaningfully impact her students. CoBA is glad to have Dr. Stewart as a member of its faculty, and is excited to see the motivation she will bring out in our students!
