Disability Support Services

Stage Access

Graduates with mobility impairments should contact Disability Support Services by May 1st for assistance at the Commencement ceremonies. A platform lift will provide access to the stage for graduates with mobility impairments.

Parking and Seating

Graduates and guests with a handicap placard or a Special Accommodations pass displayed will be directed to park in ADA parking in Lot B.  Lot B is directly across the entrance ramp into the Mangrum Track and Field. 

There will be wheelchair accessible seating for a guest and one companion.  Please keep in mind that there will be no wheelchairs or motorized scooters available at the ceremonies for individual use. Accessible seating may not be covered and exposed to weather elements.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Sign language interpreters will be present on stage at all Commencement ceremonies.

Venue

Please note for your guests, the venue entrance at the Mangrum Track & Field is a downhill ADA compliant ramp. Some guests may require assistance exiting the field.

Lactation Areas

There will be an enclosed tent on the field for nursing mothers. This tent is by the First Aid Tent.
