Success Stories from our Community and Industry Partners

"On behalf of the Board of Directors at the Fallbrook Food Pantry I want to thank you for the excellent internship experience we are having with Enrique Rivera.  We provided Enrique with a monthly stipend and he has been doing a wonderful job.  The Food for Thought Program is running very smoothly under his leadership." -T.M.

"With graduation on the horizon, Carlos came to us looking for an opportunity to combine his interest in the community, concern for others, coursework in Human Development and desire to continue his education with a Masters in the areas of school psychology or social work. As a Community Relations Intern with the Escondido Union High School District, Carlos has linked his experiences as a student in the district, first in his family to attend college and excellent communication skills to inspire and guide others. Much of Carlos' efforts have focused around the guaranteed college admissions program between EUHSD and CSUSM, known as MAP. Carlos has presented at school assemblies, designed a poster highlighting requirements of the MAP program for classrooms and developed press releases.  Carlos shared his bilingual skills for the development of video featuring information  on each school site, as well as unique opportunities for all EUHSD students. By meeting with various professionals in the district, he is gaining additional knowledge and experience that will help him prepare for a bright, rewarding future. Carlos has been an absolute delight to work with and he has been an amazing intern!" - Karyl T. O'Brien, Community Relations Coordinator, Escondido Union High School District
