Basic Needs Support

Disability Support Services

The Office of Disability Support Services (DSS) has been designated to provide services and accommodations to students with disabilities to ensure that they have both equal opportunity and access in their educational pursuits.

Employment Opportunities

The Career Center offers services to help students and alumni attain career fulfillment and empower them to design and manage their career paths with clarity, competence and confidence.

Food Insecurity

The Cougar Pantry serves all CSUSM students in an effort to decrease food insecurity. The pantry stocks a variety of dry and canned goods, limited produce, milk and toiletries. Visit the Cougar Pantry or email cougarpantry@csusm.edu for information related to food distribution.

Kellogg Library

Although the library building is closed, services remain available virtually through the University Library COVID-19 Resources webpage. You can live chat with library staff for general questions, research needs and more. You can also submit questions any time online and someone will respond within 24 hours.

Physical books are available through digitization on demand and the library is scanning and providing access to Reserves materials digitally as quickly as possible. Visit the FAQ for Remote Library Services and Materials webpage for more information.

Learning & Tutoring Services

The Office of Undergraduate Studies is home to Learning and Tutoring Services, which includes the following student support programs that enhance the retention, graduation and success of all students:

Student Health

Student Health and Counseling Services (SHCS) and the CSUSM Pharmacy are open by appointment only. Call (760) 750-4915 to make an appointment. After-hours access to a counselor is available at (760) 750-4915. Press 9 to speak directly to a counselor over the phone.

Technology Support

Instructional & Information Technology Services (IITS) has compiled resources for students with technical concerns. Please visit IITS for Students – Technology resources and tools for more information.

Students who do not have access to a computer or tablet with a recent Windows or Mac operating system, or who do not have access to the internet or rely on the campus library for textbooks, should email cio@csusm.edu.
