All employees and students – regardless of vaccination status – are required to wear a mask indoors while on campus. In addition to wearing masks indoors, individuals who are unvaccinated must also wear a mask outdoors when social distancing is not possible.
Our safest defense against the spread of COVID is vaccination. The CSU updated its vaccination policy on Dec. 22, announcing that all students and employees who come to campus must be vaccinated and receive their booster or receive a medical or religious exemption. Anyone who has received a medical or religious exemption is required to participate in a weekly on-campus testing program.
A majority of our classes are being taught with an in-person component this spring, but there are a variety of other formats, including synchronous online, asynchronous online, blended, hybrid, and live and online. A website has been created to help students understand the differences in format. The class schedule was shaped by student input and designed to offer maximum flexibility with in-person, online and hybrid options.
It is our goal to give students who are ready for on-campus experiences the opportunity to be fully immersed in student life. We have a full calendar of events throughout the semester.
For on-campus and university-sponsored events, masks are required when indoors regardless of vaccination status. Individuals who are unvaccinated must also wear a mask outdoors when social distancing is not possible. Masking remains optional outdoors for vaccinated individuals, though for certain outdoor events there may be masking requirements based on the number of attendees. Virtual events and programming continue to be offered.
Most of our campus spaces have returned to in-person operations and services. Dining Services is also ready to serve you, and all campus eateries are open. The University Bookstore is open for in-store shopping.
