CSUSM is committed to providing a safe, healthy and sustainable environment for students, faculty, staff and the community. Our COVID-19 cleaning and disinfection plan was created in consultation with local and state officials. We have deployed engineering controls such as improved ventilation measures and installation of plexiglass dividers in appropriate areas. Common areas are frequently cleaned and disinfected.
All people visiting campus must complete a daily symptom and health self-screening each day before coming to campus and stay home if they are unwell. Students may access this from either the CSUSM app or from the self-screening web page.
In alignment with the CSU’s decision for all 23 campuses to have a unified approach to the spring semester, more than 90% of courses are offered in a virtual format. Select lab/specialty equipment courses are face-to-face or via a hybrid model. The CSU announced plans to return to mostly in person instruction in Fall 2021.
Most campus services, including Academic Advising, the Library, and Learning & Tutoring Services, are available virtually rather than in person. If you are unable to locate the services you need on this page, please email email@example.com for assistance.
Staying connected is always important, and even more so during times of uncertainty. We encourage students to stay involved. We offer resources and events to support connection, interaction and sharing stories with one another.
Although in-person events have been canceled through 2020, CSUSM departments, organizations and clubs continue to offer robust virtual events for students. Be sure to check out our virtual events calendar to see what’s happening. You can also connect with one of our many Student Organizations.
