Schedule & Courses

Participants earn a Certificate in Operations Resource Management by successfully completing each of six core courses. The National Association of Purchasing Management (NAPM) has approved each course for three points toward a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) designation.

These classes can be taken in any order and allow you to earn your certificate in just over 12 months. A passing grade of C- or better is required to receive the certificate and successfully complete the program.

Classes are held at CSUSM on Tuesdays from 6:00 - 9:00pm.

The APICS Principles of Operations Planning course covers the fundamentals of basic inventory planning principles and techniques that are used at each level in the planning process, from strategic to tactical.

Inventory Management

The APICS Principles of Inventory Management covers the operational knowledge and understanding of inventory management principles and techniques, roles and responsibilities, and the impact that inventory can have on a business.

Manufacturing Management

The APICS Principles of Manufacturing Management course aims to provide fundamental knowledge and understanding of the core concepts necessary to effectively manage activities related to planning, scheduling, and controlling manufacturing processes.

Global Sourcing Supply Chain Management 

It is a global marketplace and the APICS Global Sourcing Supply Chain Management course will help you navigate the complex and changing landscape of international business.
