FAQ
- How does the Senior Experience program work?
The Senior Experience program matches teams of BSBA students with projects submitted by local businesses and organizations. Under the supervision of a faculty member, students work together as consultants, rigorously applying what they’ve learned in the classroom to real-world projects and business dilemmas. Client organizations receive dedicated attention from bright, energetic teams of business students, providing a fresh outlook on their projects.
The nature of the problems or projects chosen for Senior Experience varies according to the individual organizations. For instance, a student consulting team might be asked to:
- Diagnose the causes of an accounting, finance, operations or information systems problem, evaluate possible solutions and make a recommendation or possibly implement the chosen alternative.
- Conduct a feasibility study or write a business plan for producing a new product, entering a new market or building a new facility.
- Analyze manufacturing processes, customer service workflows or a human resources program.
No matter what the project details are, BSBA students gain invaluable experience while grappling with actual industry challenges on behalf of real-life clients.
