California State University, San Marcos Official Transcripts

Official transcripts contain course work taken at CSUSM (including Open University, and any credit courses taken through Extended Learning) The Office of the Registrar does not send transcripts to the CSUSM Graduate Studies or to the CSUSM Office of Admissions.

Only California State University, San Marcos transcripts will be issued. Copies of other schools' transcripts are NOT included. Transcripts from other schools must be ordered from the original institution.

Processing Time

Due to the unprecedented events surrounding COVID-19, the University has decided to reduce operations and student services to transition to virtual modalities.

As a result, we highly suggest submitting your official transcript request via MyCSUSM. Please refer to Order Transcripts page for step-by-step instructions.

Official transcript requests received will be processed within 7-10 business days. Please note: current delays to the mailing system may affect the delivery time of your official transcript. CSUSM does not offer expedited (RUSH) handling of requests.

Due to high volume of requests received at the beginning and end of each semester, transcript-processing time varies. Time-sensitive orders should be requested early to ensure that the recipient receives your transcript(s) prior to any application deadlines or opportunities.

The online request form does not offer the option of holding your request for grades or degree conferral. If you desire to have a transcript sent after these dates, please submit the request at that time, or use the Official Transcript Request Form.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.

Holds on your records

Your request will not be processed if you have any outstanding administrative obligations to the university. These must be cleared before your records can be released.
