
Community Engaged Scholarship is centered on a mutually-beneficial collaboration between the university and a community partner outside the academy. The purpose of the collaboration is to bring together the specialized knowledge of the university with the specialized knowledge of the community to generate new knowledge that contributes to the public good.

Incentive Grants
CSUSM faculty members are eligible to apply for incentive grants for Community Engaged Scholarship and could be awarded $500 - $1,000 based on the project proposal and budget specifications.
CES and Retention, Tenure, and Promotion
Help your Peer Review Committee, Dean, Promotion and Tenure Committee members, and Provost recognize the full extent of your work on your CES project so that they can appropriately reward all the accomplishments of your project.
