The Department of Communication at California State University San Marcos seeks part-time lecturers for Fall 2017 to teach GEO 102 - General Education Oral Communication.  The course is lecture and delivery of diverse types of speeches. Information about the course and its program learning outcomes may be found by visiting  Applicants will be able to provide evidence of effectiveness in undergraduate teaching. The candidate should have experience in teaching undergraduate curriculum.  

Minimum requirements for the position include:  an MA in Communication or closely related discipline and experience teaching undergraduate curriculum.

Preferred requirements for the position include:  a Ph.D. in Communication or closely related discipline, and experience teaching public speaking. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching.
