The Department of Mathematics at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2017 to teach MATH 100 - Mathematical Ideas. This is a general education course for a broad audience.
Minimum requirements for the position include: Master’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics.
Preferred requirements for the position include: a Ph.D. or equivalent in Mathematics. Successful experience teaching general education math courses or similar courses. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching.
Timeline: A review of applications will begin July 13, 2017; however, the position will remain open until filled.
The university is particularly interested in candidates who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for under-represented groups.
