Social Psychology

Assistant Professor: 1920-009

Effective Date: Fall 2020

California State University San Marcos expects to hire a tenure-track assistant professor of psychology for Fall 2020. Scholars with any substantive focus within the fields of social and/or personality psychology are encouraged to apply.                         

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field prior to date of appointment (ABD applicants accepted)
  • Active research program that serves as a training opportunity for students
  • Demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence at the university level (e.g., student evaluations/summaries, peer observation summaries)
  • Ability/interest in teaching courses in social psychology and/or personality
  • Able to supervise Master’s theses   

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Evidence of research productivity
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Demonstrated intercultural competence with diverse groups in teaching, research and/or service.
