Temporary Lecturer Application Pool - Biotechnology

The Department of Biological Sciences at California State University San Marcos maintains an on-going pool of applicants who are interested in the teaching courses for the undergraduate and graduate Biotechnology degree programs. The Biotechnology programs emphasize a strong foundation of biological knowledge that is integrated with business, ethical, and legal perspectives of the biotechnology and life sciences industry. Specific courses for which instructors may be sought vary by semester and are can be found in the catalog.  Salary is commensurate with degree and teaching experience.

Minimum qualifications: 

  • A master's degree in the life sciences. 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • A doctorate in the life sciences, college teaching experience, and previous work experience in the biotechnology industry.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching.
