Scholarships are provided to students who have very high financial need. Preference to first generation college students.

Alliance Ambassadors Scholarship

The Alliance Four-Year Ambassador Working Scholarship is designed to support a student, who graduated from an Alliance Partnership School District, with $1,500 per year for four years. As an Ambassador, a student must meet and sustain specific requirements and expectations to continue receiving scholarship funds.

Eligibility: Incoming Freshman must maintain a full-time enrollment status, demonstrate Financial Need, maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, and meet all criteria of your district's guaranteed admission program.

American Indian in Honor of Lee E. Dixon Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded to students who are tribally enrolled American Indians. Academic achievement, service to the American Indian community, and financial need are all criterion. Preference will be given to incoming freshmen and proof of Tribal Affiliation is required.

Scholarships are awarded to students who were enrolled in the AVID Program in High School, high financial need and have overcome obstacles.

Brenna Bray Robe Memorial Scholarship

Scholarships will be awarded to a continuing graduate student in the MS in Speech Language Pathology Program. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate a professional interest in and passion for the use of alternative communication (AAC) for children with communication disorders. The recipient should be in excellent academic standing, and financial need is optional.

Catherine Goldsmith Nursing Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded to students enrolled as Nursing Majors in their first semester.

CEHHS Deans Fund for Excellence Scholarship

Scholarships will be given to students who are enrolled in at least half time, demonstrate financial need or merit based, minimum 2.5 GPA, majoring in a subject within the college of CEHHS.

Charles Heller MD Scholarship

Student must demonstrate an interest in going into a medical or health-related field. Students in the Pre-Health Society may qualify. Students must be full time, undergraduate, 3.2 minimum GPA, and any major.

Christopher L. Whitman Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen enrolled in The College Of Business Administration. Must have a 3.00 or higher GPA with moderate to low need. Priority given to students who express an interest in music, sports or charity/social work.

Clifford S. Northway Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship for student from the College of Education, working on either a Teaching Credential or Master degree.

Crankstart Scholarship

(10) $2,500 scholarships will be awarded to Undergraduate students who have transferred from a California Community College within the past four years. Scholarship recipients must be enrolled at least half-time, demonstrate financial need, and seeking their 1st Bachelor's Degree.

Scholarships may be renewed should the student continue to meet the scholarship criteria.

This scholarship is not intended for students exclusively enrolled in online courses, or international students who are visiting the US with the intention of returning to country of origin after graduation.

CS S-STEM Scholarship

Scholarships will be awarded to Sophomore students who are majoring in either Computer Science or Computer Information Systems.

Students must demonstrate financial need; be a U.S. citizen, lawful refugee or permanent resident; minimum 2.5 GPA; enrolled full time; and be able to participate in Friday afternoon program activities from 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM (beginning in Spring).

Dr. Jerry Sepinwall DREAM Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded to students  who are AB540 students, regardless of national origin, who have submitted an Affidavit to Admissions. Financial Need, 2.00 GPA and full time enrollment are required. Scholarships are for any major, only for Undergraduates. Preference to first generation college students.

*Past awardees of the Sepinwall DREAM scholarship are eligible to reapply as long as they meet the other criteria of the scholarship

Fall only scholarships will be awarded to students who are full-time, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, Chemistry, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.

Ella J. Thedinga Scholarship

5 scholarship will be awarded to entering freshman with a minimum 3.0 high school GPA. Student must have graduated from a San Diego County high school.

Estelle Wiener Memorial Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded to graduate level students enrolled in the Master's of Social Work program. Students must have a 3.50 or higher GPA and financial need.

Fenstermaker Foundation Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded to students who are Biology, Chemistry or Computer Science majors with a 3.50 or higher GPA.

Frank D. Hernandez Scholarship

Gladys Chapman Music Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded to Visual and Performing Arts majors, with a preference to students who have an interest in music.

Goldsmith MBA Scholarship

 

Scholarships will be awarded to students who have completed an undergraduate degree in business at CSUSM to future their education at CSUSM in the MBA Program. Priority will be given to continuing or a returning CSUSM business students. Should that not be possible, a non-CSUSM grad may be awarded.

Ina Mae Akinson Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded to female students who are resuming their education after an extended break.

J. Douglas  and Marian R. Pardee Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded to students enrolled in the college of: Humanities, Arts, Behavioral & Social Science (CHABBS), Business Administration (CoBA), Education, Health & Human Services (CEHHS), Science & Mathematics (CSM), and transfer students. Students must demonstrate Financial Need, and have a minimum 3.25 GPA to qualify for the scholarship. Scholarship amounts are set at $2,000.

Scholarships may be renewed if the student continues to meet scholarship criteria an maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Scholarships are awarded to non-US citizens/students who are in the process of becoming citizens and can provide INS documentation as proof. Student must be enrolled in at least 6 units.

Scholarships are awarded to American Indian students who have demonstrated service or involvement in their Tribe or American Indian community. Must have financial need and be enrolled at least part time students.

Scholarships will be given to Veteran students who demonstrate financial need. This scholarship should not adversely affect a Veteran's VA benefits and can be used to support tuition, related academic expenses, or general living expenses.

Scholarships are awarded to currently enrolled junior  majoring Business Administration-Accounting, with a 3.00 or higher GPA and financial need. Preference will be given to students who are involved with community service.

Scholarship will be given to students who are accepted for the study abroad in France and demonstrate strong commitment to the study of French language and culture through academic coursework and extracurricular activities. Major General Anthony L. Jackson Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded to undergraduate students  who are military veterans or active duty military. Majoring in History, high financial need, and enrolled full time. Scholarship will be awarded in the Spring.

Where there is no qualified candidates with a History major, other studies may include: Social Science, Geography, Anthropology, Economics, Psychology, Social Studies, and Sociology.

Scholarship amounts will be a minimum of $1,250 per student.

Sophomore Alliance Ambassadors Scholarship

The Alliance Ambassador Sophomore Scholarship is a working scholarship for students who graduated from an Alliance School District.  As an Alliance Ambassador, a student works 5-7 hours per week in the Alliance office for his/her Sophomore and Junior years. He/she must maintain a 3.0 GPA to continue receiving scholarship funds.

Scholarship:  This scholarship starts in Spring 2018 with a scholarship amount of $750; Recipient will receive $1,500 in their Junior and $1,500 in their Senior year.  Total Scholarship is $3,750.

Spicer Scholarship

Scholarships will be awarded to Sophomore students who are enrolled in a minimum of 12 units per semester, and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Scholarship may be renewed during the student's Junior and Senior year.

STAND Scholarship

As first generation and undocumented university students at Cal State San Marcos, we know the obstacles and adverse situations that many first-time students face when applying to and continuing college. Our goal is to reach those students with infinite potential and help them overcome those financial and social barriers. This scholarship contributes to their ability to pursue a higher education, which is an important asset to them as individuals and for us as a collective society.

STAND is operated by university students and graduates who want to build relationships with college and college bound students, to guide them to be successful during their college experience, and to help financially with this scholarship.

The Student Success 4-Year Scholarships will be awarded to: three students with high need, and three students who are high achieving.

Sue Welch Nursing Scholarship

Scholarships will be awarded to 5 students who are majoring in Nursing.

Students must be enrolled part-time or full-time, undergraduate or graduate level, sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate level enrolled in state side courses, and minimum 3.0 GPA.

Teichert-Pineiro Spanish Scholarship

Scholarships will be awarded to worthy students with financial need majoring in Spanish. Preference will be given to re-entry students and/or first generation college students.

If possible, a tenured track member of the Modern Language Study, should participate in the selection process.

Students who have received this scholarship in previous years, must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA to reapply. Past recipients may also apply if they are in pursuit of a teaching credential or a Master's in Spanish.

The Jim Kuden Family Scholarship

Scholarships are provided to students enrolled in College of Business Administration with an interest in entrepreneurship. Must have a 3.0 GPA, financial need and enrolled full time. Students may be enrolled in the undergrad, or graduate level.

The Schmidt Graduate Scholarship in Literature and Writing

This merit based scholarship will be awarded to quality students in the Literature and Writing Graduate program. Upon recommendation by the Literature and Writing Department, 2 students will be selected for a $2,000 scholarship.

Preference will be given to incoming graduate students.

Students who are first-in-family to attend college. A strong preference for students coming from Temecula Valley Unified School District, but immediate region will also be considered, veteran, and general financial need.
