Faculty are invited to consult with the Dean for Graduate Studies and Research on internal grants and awards, external grants, fellowships, and other professional development opportunities.
The primary internal funds available are:
Other funding sources include allocations provided by individual colleges, Faculty Development Awards through the Faculty Center, and funding for collaborative projects between CSUSM, Palomar College, and Mira Costa College through the North County Higher Education Alliance (NCHEA).
The Office of Graduate Studies and Resources also works closely with the University Auxiliary Research Services Corporation (UARSC) to encourage and support faculty seeking external grant funding.
Each year, the Office of Graduate Studies and Research in coordination with the colleges hosts a Celebration of Faculty Scholarly and Creative Activities. At this research fair, faculty share posters, electronic presentations, and demonstrations of their research. The Celebration event is generally held in April each year.
