For those that were not able to make our campus event, CSU Systemwide will be holding a Virtual Benefits Fair on September 30th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Watch for campus communications for details about this event or you can register at CSU Employee Virtual Benefit Fair Registration
Annual Benefits Information & Enrollment
Health, Dental, Vision (No Changes - No Action Required)
If you do not wish to make any changes to your current health, dental, vision or voluntary
plans, you do not need to do anything during Open Enrollment. Your current elections
for these plans will automatically continue for the 2026 Plan Year
Flexible Spending Accounts (Re-Enrollment Required - Action Required)
You must re-enroll every year in a Health Care and/or Dependent Care Reimbursement Account
(HCRA and/or DCRA). These plans will not automatically renew.
Dependent Supporting Documentation/Social Security Numbers
This is required only if the dependent is new to coverage(s). The Benefits Office has previous/current dependent records on file. The Benefits Office will communicate if supporting documentation/ssn information is pending.

Vision Summary Plan/OverviewCSU continues to pay 100% of the Basic Vision coverage for employee and eligible dependents. All eligible employees are automatically enrolled in this coverage (Employee + Family) unless they've voluntarily upgraded to the Premier Plan.
2026 Monthly Rates for the Enhanced Premier Vision Coverage (no rate change):
- Employee Only: $5.06
- Employee +1: $17.08
- Employee + Family: $31.73
How to Enroll/Change/Cancel an Enhanced Vision Plan:
VSP Enrollment Made Easy FlyerIf canceling VSP Premier, you will automatically be placed back on the VSP Basic Coverage (Employee+Family). Past service carries over from VSP Premier to VSP Basic.

- You'll be asked to Initial in both Programs but only enter the monthly deduction amount
for the Program(s), you wish to enroll in (Leave monthly deduction box blank if you
are not enrolling in that Program.)
- VSP Premier- enroll directly on VSP website
(VSP will provide confirmations directly)
Enrollment in all other plans are completed directly with the Plan Vendor, following their process and procedure. Visit the CSU Systemwide Open Enrollment Site

- WHAT TO EXPECT
For Enrollment/Changes/Cancellations of Health, Dental, or FlexCash and Enrollment in the HCRA/DCRA Program(s):
- OHR Benefits Office will provide an email confirmation within 48 hours of receiving a request. (Please reach out to hrbenefits@csusm.edu if you do not receive an email response)
- OHR Benefits Office will not except requests received past the October 10, 2025 4:00 p.m. deadline.
- OHR Benefits Office will process the request and provide another email to confirm the enrollment/change/cancellation has been completed.
- OHR will communicate any known issues related to a delay in processing.

ALL OPEN ENROLLMENT ELECTIONS TAKE EFFECT, January 1, 2026, AND SHOULD REFLECT ON YOUR December 2025 PAY PERIOD/JANUARY 1 PAY WARRANT. Please contact the OHR Benefits Team, for further assistance, if you do not see the correct information on your January Pay Warrant.
