The California State University (CSU) is committed to maintaining an inclusive community that values diversity and fosters tolerance and mutual respect. The CSU strives to be free from all forms of unlawful discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
CSU Executive Order 1096 Revised is the Systemwide Policy Prohibiting Discrimination, Harassment, Retaliation, Sexual Misconduct, Dating and Domestic Violence, and Stalking against Employees and Third Parties and Systemwide Procedure for Addressing Such Complaints by Employees and Third Parties. EO 1096 Revised also reaffirms CSU's commitment to providing equal opportunities and maintaining an environment free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. Accordingly, discrimination on the basis of age, disability, gender, genetic information, gender identity or expression, nationality, marital status, race or ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, and veteran or military status is prohibited.
All individuals have the right to participate fully in CSU programs and activities free from Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation. There are different complaint procedures depending on the classification of the complainant. Any Employee or Third Party may file a Complaint reporting Discrimination, Harassment, Retaliation, Sexual Misconduct, Dating or Domestic Violence, or Stalking under this policy.
